Scholar Students

In response to the troubled economy and the desire to reward the hard work of dedicated students, I have created the “Scholar Student” program in my studio.  The scholar program is an elite group of students who have and will define their success through an intense program of weekly repertoire lessons and bi-weekly technique lessons.  The Scholar Student program is available to both interested violinist and violists.  Current Scholar students and their Bios can be viewed here.

Some of the benefits of a Scholar Student includes:

1. 100% Full Tuition Scholarship.

2. 45 weekly lessons a year with an additional 22 bi-weekly technique lessons

3. Monthly Studio Class

4. Intense Technical Focus

5. Guaranteed spot at any guest master classes sponsored through my studio.

6. Other opportunities currently being planned

Some of the Responsibilities include:

1. 2.5 hours of practice, 5-6 days a week.  If a student fails to keep the practice regimine up, they are in jeopardy of losing their Scholar Student status.  Practice charts are a requirement.

2. Attendance to all lessons, studio classes and master classes.

3. Occasional studio work. This may be done through simple filing, and other office work necessary to run a music studio.  This will not exceed 2 hours a month.

4. Regular listening assignments.

Qualifications:

1.  School grade level should be between 6-11.  Exceptions exists.

2.  Able to play concertos on your instrument.

3.  Desire for hard work and be immersed in your instrument.
